Let me tell you a bit more about who I am. I was born in Texas, however, I was raised as an international child. At about five years old, my family moved to this tiny island called Guam where we soon found ourselves greeting the Guamanian way, "half a day!" After about three years there, Frankfurt, Germany became our new home for at least another 3 years before Virginia became my permanent home. I spent all of middle and high school years in the Virginia public school system so you can say I've experienced this area's education firsthand. At George Mason University, I received my English degree not because it was "easy" as many would imply, but rather because I felt I needed to acknowledge my passion, creative writing. A few years later and here I am studying to be an English teacher simply because who better to teach writing than a teacher who writes daily herself.
